Logos

I really enjoy creating logos, especially after working with some of the busiest logos around. Check out some I have had to use here

I wouldn't call myself a professional logo designer yet, I think I have far too much still to learn. I tend to put too much detail in them. All the ones on this page are my designs with the latest at the beginning. Click on them to see larger.

D and P revised 2009

After reading up on many logo designs. I decided to have another go at this one. I am really pleased with the result and so are my brother and fiancée. It is much classier and the dp will work on it's own. Which is great as they are thinking of putting all the wedding stationery on a memory stick, much to my mum's disappointment.

D and P

This was the first logo I created for my brother and his fiancée. It is the letters d an p merged together. The Celtic knot work represents Donna's Irish background. While the colours represent Phil's Scottish ancestry tartan.

R and K 2008

Created for my friend and her now husband. Both are christian, hence the fish. If you can't see it, the R forms the face, the & is the scales, and the bubbles and the tail make the K.

EnvironmentJobs.co.uk 2007

The element within the lightbulb is an e for environment and the elephants trunk is a J for jobs. I used the same colours they currently use. Unfortunately when I submitted they didn't seem to remember they ran a competition for a new logo. I did get a 'that's interesting' comment

Lightbulb represents:
 Energy/electricity, Ideas, Sun/Solar
(also a round bulb so is the same shape as the sun/earth)

Elephant represents:
Animals and Workers as the elephant is often seen as a working animal
 Power/strength
Examining (the lightbulb) Caring (carefully holding)
(could also represent water: its trunk and wind its ears)

Dartford Library's 90th 2006

I was sent a logo that a member of staff had designed in word, there was no way I was going to put it on any of my work. Partly due to the very prominent @ symbol and very photocopied line drawing of part of the building. So I redesigned it with their original idea of using a pattern from their stained glass window (below), traced it completely (below), then simplified it. All the designs.

Kent Commemorates events 2005

I was asked to design graphics to tie all the events posters together
